Chipmunks are small mammals, the smallest members of the squirrel family. There are over 20 different species, and most of them can be found in United States and Canada. Chipmunks are excellent tree climbers and live in mountains, forests, and even in deserts. They love to burrow in the ground under rocks and tree roots.
